- Santa Claus visited the Christmas Market as well.

- The 12 nations had prepared their national Christmas delicacies for the market.
“Organizing the Christmas Market was a good possibility to give something in return to a community that has welcomed us in Pápa”, says Norwegian spouse Siri Jensrud, who was in charge of overall coordination of the Christmas Market.
“Preparing the market was also fun for us, and it will definitely be a Christmas market next year too”, Siri Jensrud adds. Last year the funds raised at the Christmas market were donated to the village of Kolontár, which was hit by the red slude last autumn.
“Almost everything was sold, we didn’t have to take back home nearly anything of the goods that were produced for the market”, Jensrud says. The multinational families had created a rich variety of home baked goods and handicraft. Groups of children entertained the audience with Christmas Carols – and of course also Santa Claus visited the market.
“We are thankful for being able to rent the Military Cultural Centre in Pápa for free, so all funds raised could be given to the foundation”, says Colonel Boone, the Heavy Airlift Wing Commander.
