SHAPE generals visit Pápa Air Base
19/5/2012 - PÁPA AIR BASE, Hungary - Pápa Air Base and the Heavy Airlift Wing were visited by very distinguished visitors on Saturday the 19th May, 2012.
NATO SHAPE (Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe) generals and admirals were very interested in the multinational unit and co-operation between 12 nations.
After short briefings from the base, HAW, NAMA and Boeing, the guests were able to see a C-17 on the airfield. The group was hosted by the Hungarian Ministry of Defence, and the dean of the group was Commodore Henrik Andersen from Denmark.
