Passenger evacuation exercised
23/4/2012- PÁPA AIR BASE, Hungary - Ten “injured“ people were evacuated from a C-17 in an emergency exercise on HAW training week.
To make the exercise more real, the injured passengers received a make-up at the base medical centre before their "accident".
The fictious accident happened on C-17's landing on Pápa Air Base with a "hot brakes" situation occurring.
The base firefighters and medical personnel participated in the exercise as well. One of the goals in this exercise was to test flow of information, and based on these experiences, emergency response procedures can be developed further.
