First non-US C-17 pilot qualifies to became Aircraft Commander

18/9/2010 - PAPA AIR BASE, Hungary – It’s been a career of firsts for Major Christian Langfeldt, Royal Norwegian Air Force. He was among the first of Heavy Airlift Wing’s non-US pilots to graduate from the C-17 pilot course in May 2009. On Saturday Major Langfeldt became HAW’s first non-US C-17 pilot to qualify to become an Aircraft Commander. He will fly his first mission as an Aircraft Commander in three weeks.
