C2 Commander biography
Lt Col Tom-Ivar Punsvik, Royal Norwegian Air Force (RNoAF), Chief HAW C2 Branch Heavy Airlift Wing, Papa AB, Hungary with the responsibility to conduct the C2 Branch in order to plan and monitor all missions utilizing the HAW C-17 aircraft. LtCol Punsvik background since 1986 has been from operational Electronic Warfare. Before joining the Heavy Airlift Wing was holding the position as Chief Norwegian joint EW Centre located at Rygge Air base. Educated as a bachelor in Electronics/avionics and graduated from the Norwegian Air force academy and the Norwegian Joint staff college. Serviced as an Electronic warfare system operator on an EW aircraft, Chief EW squadron ops, EW system programmer and EW staff officer at wing and national headquarter level. Operations: Been posted both in Bosnia and Italy during the former Bosnian war and the Kosovo crises. Lt Col Punsvik has been engaged in NATO as a member in several NATO groups, his last position was as chairman for CNAD/NAFAG/ACG-3.
